    Will of "Phineas Nichols of Haverhill", dated 29 Oct 1827, codicil dated 5 Jun 1832, proved 7 Aug 1838, names daughter Anne Morse wife of [torn], daughter Elisabeth Gay wife of Joseph Gay, daughter Mary Hanes wife of Warren Hanes, children of my son Joseph Nichols, daughter Martha Dow wife of Jeremiah Dow, daughter Sarah George wife of maj'r Amos George, daughter Rebecah Chase wife of Humphrey Chase, granddaughter Rebecah Noys wife of Folensbe Noys, son Jacob Nichols, daughter Nabby Davis wife of Isaac Davis, son Benjamin Nichols. Benjamin to be executor. Codicil dated 5 Jun 1832 gives additional bequests to daughters Anne Morse, Mary Hanes, Martha Dow, Sarah George, Rebeccah Chase, Nabby Davis ["enjoy one chamber in my now dwelling house ... as long as she remains single"], and granddaughter Rebecca Noyes.
