Hi Georgia, First let me tell you Gert Crosbie's Books covers the dates 1824-1890. Cecil Stanley Patten bn.1896, would not be in her book. I could not look for your Simeon Rose Patten bn.1888, as I do not have Volume #11 (1887-1888) Working my way backwards to locate your great grandparents Phillip Nicholle Patten and Matilida Welsh, I found the following:

Welsh, Carolina married William Morgan 1869. (poss. sister) Welsh, Robert Capt. of St. John's died Aug.26th of Yellow Fever at Demerara, aged 34. Left father and four sisters. Oct4/64CSDT Welsh, William brother of Capt.Robert Welsh, mate died on Sept.2nd at Demerara of Yellow Fever, aged 22. Oct.11/64CSDT Welsh, Catherine and James Tobin married, 1841 (poss.sister)

For Patten: Rose, Robert and Patten, Celestine were married at Wesleyan Chapel, Grand Bank on May20th by Rev. Peach, May30/55CE Patten,Thomas native of Sterling died, funeral from Mr. Perkins, he was in employ of John F. Trimingham. June22/26NMJ While the above aren't exactly your names, I consider them good leads to follow up on. Also found: Nicholle, Nichole, Nicholl, and Noel. Hope this helps you.

Best Wishes and God Bless, Arlene buzzyjab@@frontiernet.net http://www.huronweb.com/genweb/nf_arlene.ht
