↑Source:General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Mayflower Families through Five Generations, Vol. 8 (Degory Priest), p. 106, in an article on Simeon's father, lists Simeon as a child, m. Phebe Phllips before 11 Aug 1771 [the day they are admitted to church as a married couple]. A footnote attached to this fact says: "Simeon's first marriage is from the IGI, not found in the vital records of Roxbury, Cambridge, or Watertown." The IGI is here and has no sources. So the basis for this identification of Phebe is unknown. The IGI does not even seem to identify her parents. Clearly there is no marriage record, no birth or baptism has been found (though other children of her putative parents are found), no probate for her putative father, nor deed showing her identity beyond being Phebe, wife of Simeon Pratt. Evidence is needed.
