Descendant of Josiah Knight, of Connecitcut. Daughter of Almon F. Reynolds and Mary Jane Stott, his wife. Granddaughter of James Stott and Phebe Knight, his wife. Gr.- granddaughter of Josiah Knight and Marguerite Nalour, his wife. Josiah Knight, (1736 - 1840), served in the Continental Line under Capt. Simon Spaulding, and was in Capt. Jonathan Heart's company under Lafayette, 1781. He was born at Norwich, Conn., was a pensioner, and died at La Calle, Canada.

DEATH: Thu, 25 Oct. 2007 Ruth Bott (rvaygen@yahoo.com) Mr Knight, I agree and if I ever find that proof, you will be the second to know! By the way, I have seen her death record posted in the register of St.Jean Methodist-Lacolle,PQ, Canada. She died 28 Feb 1843 (6 days after giving birth to James on 22 Feb) and was buried on 1 March 1843. It does reference her being a parishoner of a St. Therese parish--unfortunately, while I've been able to see a record of my Elisabeth Stott's baptism in 1833- records much before that seem not to be available-thus no record of James and Phebe's marriage.
