    Constant & unwearied.
    As a civil officer a minister of God for good.
    In friendship endearing & faithful:
    a pattern of conjugal & parental affection:
    Patient under the long illness
    which proved fatal:
    when death advanced, his hope blighted:
    and in prospect of a better state:
    He departed this life June 15th A.D. 1780,
    in the 61st Year of his age.
