Facts and Events
Name Peter Ickes
Gender Male
Christening[1] 12 Sep 1784 Littlestown, Adams, Pennsylvania, United States

It is not certain whether or not this Peter was a member of this family.

On the one hand, John and Elizabeth (Stambaugh) Ickes were known to have lived in Abbottstown, Adams County, Pennsylvania[2], less than 15 miles from Littlestown. The mother's name in the baptismal record (Elis.) probably stands for Elisabeth (the German spelling).

On the other hand, John already had a son named Peter from his first marriage, who is the only Peter named in his will. Also, John and Elizabeth had a son Adam born Nov 1783. Assuming that Adam's birth date is correct, a Peter born Apr 1784 could not be a member of the same family. The only way this Peter could be a member of the same family is if one of the birth dates is incorrect.
