Peregrine (Smith), b. [say 1627-9]; d. before 8 May 1648, when his father's will mentions the house lot intended for his son Peregrine. This seems to indicate that he may have been approaching maturity when he died. He may however have been born 1636-7 and named in commemoration of the journey from England to the New World.
