· my grandfather who raised me was Paul Alton Clifton, lived in Hico, Texas when he was thru with wild-catting for oil with his 3 brothers in Nowater, Olk. John DeBard Clifton was his oldest brother who had them all come to Olk and Texas to drill for oil, they brought their wives and all of the brothers had one child born to them in the oilfield, when the children were 6 and ready to go to school the parents moved them to Texas and they settled in Mineral Wells, Weatherford, Hico, and Strawn, I have the names of the other brothers and their wives and their children, mom was with her dad's father and mother in Kentucky when her grandfather died, her mom and her mother and her mothers mother Louisa Kring Cochran were there at their house also on the tobacco plantation.
