Paul Benson graduated from Terra Alta High School in 1939. He served in the US Army in the South Pacific. While in New Guinea he received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was employed at the E.S Evans Garage in Terra Alta, Benson's Hardware and Supply in Morgantown, and as a bus driver for the City of Morgantown. (Obituary, Dominion Post 8/23/2005)
