Paul Austin was baptised on 13th March 1793 at Ashwell in Hertfordshire, son of Mary Austin, late Lincoln, formerly Bryant, and her husband Thomas Austin. Paul was baptised the same day as a brother Edward. It is quite likely that they were twins; sadly both boys died within a month of their baptism, with Paul being buried on 25th March and Edward on 4th April.
