"OBIT.-It is with feelings of deep sorrow that we pen these few lines relating to the death of an old and esteemed resident, Mr. Owen Doyle, who departed this life on Monday April 27th. On the follow ing Wednesday, his remains were interred in St. Columbkill's cemeterry...The subject of this sketch was born in the County of Tyrone, Ireland about the year 1832, and in 1847 came to Canada and settle d in Mara. He was a consistent member of the Roman Catholic Church and died a happy death, giving many indications of a close communion with the spirit shortly before his departure...He leaves a fam ily of six sons and four daughters..."
