  4. ↑ 4.0 4.1 Although Orba's birthdate is given in the 1900 census as January 1888 (and implied in the 1910 census), this isnot credible, since her sister Orpha was born 26 December 1887, giving at least a week between their births, but no more than a month. The alternative birth date estimate provided by her marriage record, of 1889, although from a derivative source, is more credible, suggesting a year between Orba's birth, that of her older sister Orpha, and that of her younger brother John.
