    Ona Elnore Porter, the dau. of Emery Ford Porter and his wife Cora Eva Foote was b. at New London, Ohio 2 June 1883 and d. at New London 14 December 1973 and is buried in Fitchville Cemetery, Fitchville, Huron County, Ohio. Ona was b. on a farm only a short distance from where her great grandfather Philo Thomas Porter settled when he arrived in New London Twp. in 1815.

    Ona married at New London 10 Oct. 1906 Mead Wood, the son of William Jedediah Wood and his wife Rowena Jane Mead.
