MILITARY:

Olney F. Seaver, a resident of Williamstown VT, enlisted as a Private in the Union Army on 22 August 1862, and enlisted in Company D, 12th Infantry Regiment of Vermont on 4 October 1862. He mustered out of his unit on 14 July 1863 in Brattleboro VT ["Military Records of Individual Civil War Soldiers," Historical Data Systems, Provo UT, accessed at "American Civil War Soldiers" database on www.ancestry.com].

RESIDENCE: always lived in Williamstown VT. At time of his death, was said to be the oldest descendant of Deacon Robert Seaver (#320). Practically all of the data in JMSeaver's book which refers to descendants of Deacon Robert Seaver was supplied by Olney.
