In 1844, there is a baptism record for a 'Francois Xavier' Senecal. In 1846, there is a death record for a two-year-old son of Olivier Senecal and Adelaide Provost. I have been through the parish record images, page by page. There is no baptism this early for an Olivier. The godfather's given names were Francois Xavier.

I have been through the parish record images page by page. There is no baptism record for another child named Olivier. They were not twins. It is possible that the child who became Olivier was baptized using his godfather's names, or the preist may have erred when he created the records.

Either way, I believe that this Olivier who died was the same child as Francois Xavier.

In 1851, this couple named another son Olivier.
