    Obadiah3 (Morse) Dea., Hn. [member of Legislature], 8 day, (6 mo.,) 1639, d. March 4, 1704, m. Martha Johnson, was the first Town Clerk of Sherburn, and schoolmaster in 1699. … had only Obadiah, who d. in infancy. He bequeathed his homestead, where Elijah Leland resides, to his brother Daniel's oldest son, r. Sherburn. His widow, Martha, died 1714, and left a bequest to Rev. Messrs. Gookin and Baker.
