From interview with Evelyn Willis about Christmas 1993, by WMWillis:

T.L. Willis (1913-1992) of Washington State, was a cousin of Norma. Just after graduation from High School, In the summer and fall of 1931, he went back east to visit with family . He spent much of his time with cousins Norma, Ruby, Barlow, and Thelma, who were all about his age. Hjoined the the Coat Guard about 1933, and became a career officer. MOst of this time he was stationed on the West Coast, but was stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia from 1961 to his retirement, remaining there until his death. During this period he made numerous trips to southwest Virginia, ewnewing acquitance with family members. He recalled that Norma and Vester were living near Princeton, WV at the time. "They lived in a log house up on top iof ahill up a hollow".
