    Norma Jean Wolfe, 74 of Stuart died May 25, 2003 at Panora Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services were held May 29, 2003 at the Stuart-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Kersten officiating Kenny Wolfe, Nathan Wolfe, Jay Wolfe, Alan Cook, Curt Wolfe, Travis Wolfe, Heath Wolfe, Nick Wolfe, Scott Mitchell, Jamie Mitchell, Wes Mitchell, Jade Baker, Josh Purdy, Alex Wolfe, Jared Wolfe, Abram Wolfe and Bradley Mitchell served as honorary casket bearers. Inurnment was at Morrisburg Cemetery, Stuart. Norma was born on May 25, 1929 to Wesley C. and Addie M. (Pittman) Baxter in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She grew up in Guthrie County and at the age of 12 moved to Stuart. That is where she later met and married Bob Wolfe. In the course of their 56 years together, they had 11 children, 32 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
    Norma was a friend to many and loved by all. When was also known for her cooking. All the kids in the neighborhood used to go to her house after school to eat all the goodies that she would bake. Norma would cook a big meal for her family every Sunday. She and her sister Bea enjoyed going to garage sales, but her family and friends were her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Tamera, in infancy, brothers, Kenneth and Gerald Baxter and her sister Beatrice Baxter. Norma leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Bob of Stuart, here [her] children, Robert Wolfe, of Stuart, Greg Wolfe of Stuart, Larry Wolfe and Fiance Audrey Gomez of Stuart, Cheryl Mitchell and husband Jim, of Creston, Debbie Grady and friend Dwight Reason of Menlo, Kay Skellenger and husband Steve of Stuart, Cindy Baker and fiance, Devin Wright of Menlo, Sandy Wolfe of Stuart, Tim Wolfe and wife Kim of Stuart, Gary Wolfe and wife Sarah of Stuart; 32 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
