Morrilton Democrat, 12 January 1956, page 3B, “Plumerville”, correspondent Mrs. J. P. Looney. “Mrs. Maud Wilson Goatcher, 88, a native of Conway County, died in Glendale, Calif. December 30. Mrs. Goatcher was born in the Hill Creek community, a daughter of the late Rev. Arch Wilson and Mrs. Wilson, who were pioneer residents of this section. Since the death of her husband, Dr. A. L. Goatcher, who passed away in March 1944, Mrs. Goatcher made her home with her niece, Mrs. Blanche Malone Libby, with whom she was living at the time of her death. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Plumerville for about 60 years and was well known for her devotion to her church, family and friends. She is survived by two nephews, Clyde and Archie Malone, and her niece.”
