He was a delegate, along with Gjermund Torkjellsen Vreim from Bø and Erling Hvalen from Lunde, to the 1591 ceremony in Oslo that acknowledged King Christian IV. He was mentioned as a court member in 1587, and was the sheriff in Bø from 1589 to 1597[1].

    'Sonen [av Einar] Niri er neste eigaren. Han er nemnd som lagrettesmann i 1587, og frå 1589-97 var han lensmann. Saman med Gjermund Vreim frå Bø og Erling Valen frå Lunde var han med på kongehyllinga av Kristian 4. på Akershus i 1591. Som lensmann blei han avløyst av Eilif Nordbø, men han levde ennå i 1610.'

    translation: His [Einar's] son Niri was the next owner. He is mentioned as a member of the court in 1587, and from 1589-97 he was sheriff. Together with Gjermund Vreim from Bø and Erling Valen from Lunde, he was at the ceremony to pay homage to Kristian 4th at Akershus in 1591. As sheriff, he was replaced by Eilif Nordbø, but he was still alive in 1610.
