Private, Company C, 76th Regiment NC Troops (6th N.C. Senior Reserves) "Nicholas was born in 1827. Nicholas worked as a farmer in the northern district of Davidson Co, and on February 2, 1848, he married Polly Everhart. Nicholas and Polly would have three children: Catherine (1849) David (1851) and Sophia (1853). He enlisted in Hill's Senior Reserve Battalion which became part of the 6th N.C. Senior Reserves in January 1865. After the war, Nicholas returned to the Lexington twp until his death in the 1880s. He is buried at Beulah United Church of Christ.",,
