Nicholas Clapp, 4th s/o Richard Clapp [sic, s/o Nicholas], b. England 1612, d. /Dorchester 24 Nov 1679 m. (1) Sarah Clapp, m. (2) Abigail (--) Sharp. [Note: the second marriage is wrong, see Family:Nicholas Clapp and Anna Unknown (1). Nicholas is shown by deeds to have been married by 1667 to Anna (possibly Whipple) Annable, which would make her the mother of Noah in 1667. Though she is not explicitly named in the birth record, she is called his second wife. Meanwhile, identifications showing a second wife Abigail, widow of Robert Sharp, are also incorrect, apparently based on a Savage error. Robert Sharp's widow Abigail married by 1656 Thomas Clapp and after he died in 1684 she married Capt. William Holbrook. See Person:Abigail Wright (9).]
