Nathaniel2 (Johnson) (William1) was born about 1643; married Joanna Long Nov. 24, 1668; and, as he was a mariner, was probably lost at sea between 1674 and 1677. His father's will, drawn in 1677, indicates that the family were uncertain of his fate. On Dec. 31, 1678 his estate was appraised at £123.1.0, his widow having married Christopher Goodwin for his second wife on Oct. 10, 1678.

Nathaniel (Johnson), Charlestown, householder 1678, may have been s. of William, for his name in the list stands next to that of the wid.
