In the 1870 US census, the Nathan F. Seaver family resided in West Boylston, Worcester County, MA. The household included Nathan F. (age 69, farmer, $1,500 in real property, $350 in personal property, born MA) and Sarah P. (age 59, keeping house, born MA). [LDS Microfilm 0,552,156, page 34 of West Boylston, family #263].

The probate records of Nathan F. Seaver of West Boylston, who died 24 August 1874, are in Worcester County Probate Packet 52913A, located at Worcester County Court House in Worcester, MA. The packet includes a will and letters testamentary.

The will was probated 1 September 1874, and reads (also found in Worcester County Probate Records, Volume 454, page 607):

"Know all men by these presents that I, Nathan F. Seaver of West Boylston, in the County of Worcester and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do make and publish this my last will and testament.

"First, I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife, Sarah Ann Seaver, her heirs and assigns, all the Real and Personal Estate of every description, rights, credits and interests, of which I may be possessed, or to which I may be entitled at the time of my decease - subject to the payment of my just debts and charges.

"Second, I hereby appoint the said Sarah Ann Seaver Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.

"In witness of all which I, the said Nathan F. Seaver, have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of February in the year of our Lord 1865.

Nathan F. Seaver (seal)"

The witnesses to the will were Levi Goss (?), Ashley H. Wood, and Albert Hinds.

The Letters Testamentary (Worcester County Probate Records, Volume 390, page 186, dated 8 September 1874) listed heirs-at-law as brother Moses N. Seaver of Holden, sister Lucy Coggswell or West Peterborough, New Hampshire, and sister Susan Black of Worcester, Massachusetts.

The inventory showed real estate of less than $2,000 and personal estate of less than $500.
