[Note: author comments: "'He removed to Vermont and died at advanced age'-may or may be true." The author doesn't really indicate where this statement comes from. Both Bond's Watertown and Barry's Framingham says that Lydia Hager lived in Vt., though neither demonstrates that they even know whom she married. The author hints this may be the source of the above statement, since it was unknown to family correspondents the author worked with. The author also points out that Southborough church records say the widow Lydia d. 2 May 1811. Clearly, Nathan died before 1811, and his widow didn't die in Vermont, casting some doubt on the Vermont story. He was listed in Southborough in 1790 census.]
