On this 3rd day of September 1855 personally appeared before N. R. HAWES, a Justice of the Peace in and for the County and State aforesaid, Nancy VEST a resident of Boone County, State of Kentucky, aged about 60 years who first being sworn according to Law, Declares that she is the Widow of George VEST, deceased, who was a Private in the Revolutionary War, and for his services in said War his name was placed on the Pension List Roll of the Kentucky Agency at the rate of Sixty three Dollars 33 Centers per Annum which pension was paid to him at Louisville, Kentucky. She further declares that she was married to the said George VEST in Boone County State of Kentucky on the 19th day of November 1829. And that her name prior to her said marriage was Nancy ONEALL, That her said husband died in the County of Boone State of Kentucky on the 22nd day of February 1845. She further declares that she has not intermarried but continues the widow of the said George VEST. She makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the Bounty Land to which she may be entitled under the act of Congress passed 3rd March 1855, never having received Bounty Land or knowing that she was entitled except for the above service, and she believes that no Bounty Land was ever received by her said Husband. George VEST and his wife Nancy during the lifetime of the former, and know they lived together as man and wife and to be so reputed. And that the said George VEST died in the county and state aforesaid on or about the 22nd day of February 1845. That the said Nancy has not intermarried but is now the Widow of the aforesaid George VEST and that her name previous to her said marriage was Nancy ONEALL, and they further swear that they are disinterested having no interest in the Claim from to and subsequent on the day and year above written. HAMILTON Clerk of the County Court in and for said county (the same being a count of residence having a seal Certify that B. WATTS whose genuine signature is affixed to the foregoing Declaration and affidavit is and was at the time of signing the same Presiding Judge of the County court of said County having been duly commissioned and sworn.
