Source for possible research: Hull, Stephen: In the year 1776 Stephen Hull was bound as apprentice to Capt. Henry Slo(f)son of Lower Salem, West Chester County, New York, as blacksmith. In 1777, with consent of master, he enlisted as fifer for term of 6 months with Capt. Pardy. In deposition Stephen Hull states he was born in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut 06 Jul. 1762.
