After the death of Arthur, Mr. Ralf Pitchforth, Arthur's old friend, came and helped Mozetta in her hour of trial. He was so courteous and thoughtfull of her, doing so many little things for her comfort. The next day after the funeral, things went on as usual. The cows were milked, and all the animals cared for. Mozetta took charge, and everything went on as usual. In a short time, she called the lawyer and her children together, and Arthur's last will and testament was read. He left all of his vast estate to his wife, sons Louring, Rex, and Guy and his daughters Leah Wood and Allie Gottfredson. The summer before Arthur's death, he wanted to live so he could take his old pal to the temple and grant unto her the desire of her heart. But he kept putting it off untill it was too late. And he was called home and left this important work for others to do. Mozetta had a beautiful temple uniform made for herself and one for Arthur too. A short time later, she took a trip to the House of the Lord in Manti, Utah and did the work for herself and daughter Tennessee. Her son Louring did the work for his beloved father. The sme day Arthur Whittaker and Mozetta Smith were sealed for time and eternity, and part of their family were sealed to their parents 10 December 1937 by a servant of God holding the authority to do this important work. Mozetta has done a great work for her kindred dead. She has donework for her father's people, also for her mother's relatives, and is still engaged in this labor of love at the time of this writing (circa 1946). She is also doing this work for her friends who are dear unto her, for she has many friends whom she has endowed. Mozetta lives alone in her beautiful home. Her daughters Leah and Allie live near--so do two sisters Molly Horton and Lizzie Fullmer--also her three daughter-in-laws--and some of these good folks visit her every day. She has a hired man to feed her pigs, a boy to milk and care for her cows. She also has a housekeeper to do her work. She seems to be happy and contented with her lifei Circleville in 1946.

A Tribute to the Memory of Three Girls

Louise Whittaker, Mozetta Smith, and Mary WhittakerWho lived all of their young girlhood days in Circleville, Utah.

Comrades

Comrades when girlhood was dawing, Comrades when wedding bells rang, Comrades when the stork came and landed, Comrades when reveries came, Comrades when the angel of death hovered near, Comrades, yes, comrades throughout all the years, Sharing each others' sorrows, sharing each others joys.

Now after seventy years of comradship, Our beloved Louise has left us. She was called home on 9 February 1945. Mozetta and Mary, their hair turned to silver, Their steps a little slower, Are just enjoying life, and waiting for the call, When all three will be comrades again, And where we'll never grow old.

I have heard of a land on the faraway strand, T'is a beautiful home of the blessed, Built by Jesus on high, there we never shall die, T'is a land where we never grow old.

In that beautiful home, where we'll never more roam, We shall be in that sweet by and by, Happy praise to the King through eternity sing T'is a land where we'll never grow old.

When our work here is done, and the life crown is won, And our troubles and trials are o'er, All our sorrows will end, And our voices we'll blend With the loved ones who have gone on before.

Never grow old, never grow old In a land where we'll never grow old.
