BIOGRAPHY: In the " History Hope written for "the Pawtuxet Valley Gleaner in 1905 was the following; " Captain Moses Colvin, farmer, father of a large family with many descendants, was also a prominent man in the community. He received his title from once having commanded a company of state militia. He lived to be very old and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He like his neighbor the Major Ralph, was interested in town affairs, and was a member of the legislature. He died in 1863. Olive his wife died 5 Aug. 1826 aged 56 yrs.
