I prayed at each of these Houses. But what peculiarly affected me was what I met with at Mr. Samuel Fays, his Daughter Dilly being with Child -- she says by Aaron Garfield. A most Sorrowful Providence for he has left her, and denys his being the Father of the Child. I lodged at Mr. Cushings and he here.

Children of Deliverance Fay: "MARY or MOLLY, b. Sept. 23, 1756, m. in Westboro, Feb. 15, 1776, Reuben Maynard, b. Shrewsbury, July 16, 1746, d. Feb. 1813. He was probably her 2d husband, as she was then called Molly Garfield. In the settlement of the estate the wid. was call Mary, and a dau in 1878 said her mother was Molly Fay, a dau. of Deliverance Fay. They had 13 child., b. "all around the lot."
[Note: this source appears to be ignorant of the items in the Parkman diary, but the statement by the descendant seems to imply Mary/Molly was the baby mentioned in the Parkman diary. However, this raises the question, where did the 1756 birth date come from? If Reuben Maynard's wife was born in 1756, it would imply she was not that baby.]
