SHOPE Daily American, January 27, 1988 

   Minnie Shope, 81, of Nokomis, Fla., formerly of Garrett, died Jan. 25, 1988, in Venice, Fla.  She was born April 29, 1906, in Garrett.  Survived by her husband, Edward C.; and two sisters, Phyllis Flabey of Clearwater, Fla.; and Ferne E. Beal of Lincoln Park, Mich.; also a number of nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services  will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. David Fetter officiating.  Interment in the Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
