----------Dear Sandra,

The Huckabees are buried in Sipe Springs Cemetery which is located on the north side of FM 587 near the junction of FM 587 and FM1477. The actual site is north of this junction just a mile or so. This is on the northern edge of Comanche C ounty

At Sipe Springs Cemetery you can find: HUCKABEE EZEKIEL 4 December 1836 30 November 1902

HUCKABEE MINERVA A. Wife of E. Huckabee 7 September 1829 13January 1898

Good luck as you continue your research. Margaret Waring

I found the Marriage license of M A Smith to Ezekiel Huckabee in Coryell county Texas 24 Dec ember 1876.

1876-- [24 Dec] Coryell, TX-- M A SMITH marries E. HUCKABEE Marriage book D-1 filed January 10, 1877FHL film 0984711 page #208

Both she and Ezekiel are buried next to Dilly and HM Smith's children in Sipe Springs Cemeter y. The cemetery records say she was Minerva Ann born in 1829 in Tennessee.

I have also found guardianship papers for a Delia or Dila Smith [it is spelled both ways] . H M Smith Sr. became Delia's guardian about 2 years before a Miss Dillie Smith married Hen ry M. Smith Jr.

I have also found Joseph Smith and Minerva Ann Smith who were married in Rusk County Texas in 1845. They are in the 1850 Rusk Census with their son James age 2.

Minerva Ann is in the 1860 Rusk census with several of her children, next to her mother in law and some sisters in law.

Joseph's probate papers were lost, buth there were guardianship papers, and those name a child Deliah, who is not on the census.

The whole family disappears for the 1870 census.

Minerva and Josephs son James J, moves to Comanche Texas and names his first son Ezekiel Huckleby Smith.

Minerva Ann moves to Comanche County, Texas where the Smith family is and marries Ezekiel.

Dilly Jo's death certificate says her father was MA Huckabee, but MA Huckabee was her mother.

1880 census has her born in Tennessee. Cemetery records of Sipe Springs, Comanche, TX list her birth and death dates.
