    VII) Milton Newell, fourth child and second son of Nathaniel and Sarah A. P. (Parkhurst) Flint, was born in Bedford. April 7. 1847. He grew to manhood in his native town, and after concluding his attendance at school he turned his attention to farming at the homestead, which eventually came into his possession. He has remodelled the residence, erected a new barn and otherwise improved the property, which he devotes largely to the dairying industry, and deals quite extensively in milk. He is also interested in the lumber business. In 1889 he served as selectman; was highway agent for two years; and in politics he is a Democrat. He is a charter-member of the Narrangansett Grange, Patrons of Husbandry, and has been its treasurer for eight years; he attends the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Flint is unmarried, and his household affairs are efficiently conducted by his sister, Mrs. Hodgman, who since the death of her husband in 1888 has resided with him at the homestead. She has six children, namely: Albert C., born May 24, 1875; Nellie A., born April 30, 1876; Lewis E., born June 22, 1878, married Ethel French. October 24, 1906; Arthur N.. born June 26, 1881; Sarah A., born October 2.4. 1882; and Waldo M., born January 29, 1885. All have been carefully educated and fitted for useful positions in life, which they are now filling with marked ability.
