This data from Rory Taylor Aug 1990. Mildred then living in Huxley, IA. Marriage #1= Raymond Kimes (div), Marr#2= McCullough. I met Mildred at the Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny where her room was across the hallway from my aunt Mary Alloway Braught, but did not bother her much with genealogy matters. Her obituary in the Des Moines, IA Register states that she died at age 92 of heart failure there on Wednesday (Feb. 13, 2002); was born near New Virginia and live in Huxley before moving to Des Moines, and lastly to Ankeny most of the last two years of her life. She was a retired clerical worker at the Iowa Motor Vehicle Divison, member of the Methodist Church, Womens' Relief Corp., RSVP Club, and the Wilson Thursday Club. She was survived by a daughter, Leona Lohner of Grimes who has son William Kimes of Ankeny, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen McCullough. There was no mention that her maiden name was Taylor, etc. Because her son's surname is Kimes, it is curious that there is no mention of another marriage for her (this is the only record of that in my data currently, as I did not want to guess about that matter).
