"BUCKSPORT - Michael Hugh Wardwell, 50, died Jan. 10, 2005. He was born Dec. 11, 1954, in Bangor, the son of Vernon G. and Lorraine (Seavey) Wardwell. Michael and his son, Mikk, worked together in business, both in carpentry and commercial fishing. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and all around outdoorsman. He loved to be on the water or the ocean, whether for business or pleasure. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Michael is survived by his father, Vernon G. Wardwell Sr.; son, Mikk Wardwell and his partner, Claire Valenoti; grandson, Zachary Michael Wardwell; three sisters, Suzanne Lachance, Brenda Brann and her husband, Bill, Donna Belkakis and her husband, Tom; brother, Vernon "Butch" Wardwell Jr. and his wife, Betty; nephews, Courtney, Carl, and Chris; niece, Danielle; several aunts, uncles, cousins; many special friends. Michael will be sadly missed by his extended family, Vicki and Bill Dulong. He was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine (Seavey) Wardwell. Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. A gathering of conversation and refreshment will follow at the home of Vicki and Bill Dulong, Eastside Drive, Verona Island.
