Children of Joshua Billings Jr. and Molly Pollard: Merrick, b. 23 Nov 1813, d. 28 Oct 1840.
[Note: the birth date is too close to the date in July 1814 that is given for Mary, and given that Milton's apparent death record describes him as a twin, it is assumed Stearns meant 23 Nov 1812 which is the date he gave for Milton. As noted on the parents' Family page, this source doesn't seem reliable, but without it, we have almost nothing.]

  2. There are two Find a Grave memorials: this one in Central Burying Ground suggesting the father is Abel Billings, and this one in South Burying Ground suggesting parents are unknown. Both give the name Myrick P. Billings, give a death deat of 24 Oct 1840, b. 1812, and neither offers a gravestone image. Based on the rather unique name, it seems possible this is the same man described by Stearns, despite the 4 day discrepancy in death dates? Without the distraction of these two gravestones, i.e., based on Stearns alone, the death location might be assumed to be Ashburnham, but there is no such death record in the VRs, and as Stearns does not explicitly specify it, Boston is possible.
