{geni:about_me} Phil: Meridith's old gravemarker stated he was born in Nov. 1831 (Floyd Co. now Magoffin Co., Ky), and died in March 1909 on Puncheon Creek, Magoffin Co., Ky. I will try to post the photos of his old stone and how it stood so tall and was the only stone in that cemetery that could be seen above the thick underbrush that had overtaken the land there. It was eerie how a ray of sunlight fell on the tall old stone, just at the moment the group was about to give up looking! I like to think ol' Meridith was calling, "Here I Am! Here I Am!" because swore they heard those words as they turned and spotted it in the weeds!

Enough "story"!! I posted these dates so that you can fix your dates on his page here; you're the only one who can do that, or I'd have done it for you already!

P.S.... I have another wonderful story of my great great grandfather, Meridith, but I'll post it another time! It's quite entertaining! Love this site, Phil..!!
