  2. The identification of Mercy as the wife of Samuel Clements is very speculative, based on name and age only, as virtually no record has been found of her after 1765. The marriage record calls her "of Warwick". Her mother was alive in 1765 as an allowance was awarded her out of her husband's estate, but whether she remarried and/or relocated is unknown. Her sister Leah has some connections to Warwick, but perhaps not as early as the date of Mercy's marriage.
