Must not have survived long; he does not appear on the 1860 census. Darcy discovered this record in January 2000; prior to this time, the family had no indication that a son had been born.

Note the many months between his birth (April) and his baptism (December). Why did they wait so long? Was he near death when he was baptised?

And note that his godparent is Maximillian Roth, supposedly the man who later swindled Johann Fassnacht.
