From Barbara Crumpton: "My grandmother, Maud Ella (Jackson) Rouse remembered little of her childhood. Her mother died when she was about 8. Taken in by her grandparents, James W. and Ann (Baker) for a few years, then lived with sister Jimmie Frances (Jackson) White in Blossom, Lamar Co, Texas until her marriage. Came to I.T. (Indian Territory) abt 1905/06 and had no contact with any of her family until about 1939/40 when we all visited her sister Jimmie Frances White in Blossom, all other siblings dec'd by then. No descendants of David H and Sarah Louisa (living) except these two sisters.

"She recalled living in Indian Territroy and that the Indians came to their house to see all of the little blonde girls, making them much afraid. The grandparents took them back to Texas where she and other siblings, lived with her older sister Jimmie Frances Jackson, wife of Peter Smith White, at Blossom, Lamar Co, TX until her marriage to Roy Riley Rouse 18 Jun 1904."
