[edit] His WillThe will of Matthias was dated 13 Feb 1826 and he died 8 Mar 1826. The contents of this will follows: "The last will & testament of Matthias Auble of Covert, County of Seneca, NY. I, Matthias Auble, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this, my last will & testament. First, my beloved wife, Catharine being entitled to one third part of my personals and the use and occupation of our third part of my real property, in case she should survive me, during her natural life. The residue of my personal property I give & bequeath to eight of my sons & daughters, towit, Elizabeth, wife of Isaac Emmons, Frederick, Jacob, Sophia, Andrew, William, George & James. Secondly, I give & devise to my daughter, Sophia and to my sons, Andrew, George & James the dwelling house in which I now reside, together with the land on which the house stands and also all the land extending each way from the said house four rods, to hold to them, the said Sophia, Andrew, George & James, their heirs forever. Thirdly, I give and devise all the residue of my real property to my seven sons towit, Frederick, William, Jacob, John, Andrew, George & James and to my two daughters, Elizabeth & Sophia, their heirs to be equally divided between them. And I hereby appoint my sons, Andrew & George, Executors of this my last will & testament." S3
[edit] His Father-in-Law's Will1811, June 1. Fritz, Fredrick*, of Lebanon, Hunterdon Co.; will of. Wife, Cornelia, to have % of money and moveable estate (except farming and carpenter tools). The other Vs to children, 4 sons and 2 daughters. Farm whereon I live (except 40 acres), to my youngest son, Morris Fritz, upon condition that my wife have a home and maintenance there during life; but if she choose to live with an- other of my children, then he is to pay for her maintenance. The 40-acre lot to son, George; also £20 to be paid by Morris; also the note for £50 which he gave me. Oldest son, William, £150, to be paid by Morris. Daughter, Catherine Abel, or her heirs, sufficient money to make up £100 (part of which is in bond to son-in-law, Matthias Auble). Having advanced, son, Fredrick, £250, he is to keep £150 thereof and pay £100 to estate. My son-in-law, Abraham Lungen, having given me a note which now overruns the sum in- tended for my daughter, Elizabeth (his wife). Executors to return said note as their full portion. Money received from Mr. William Coxe (at present in hands of 4 sons), to be divided between children equally (except Morris). Executors — two eldest sons, William and Fredrick.
