"98 … Matthew (Hawley), b. 7 Nov 1680 in Stratford, Connecticut (Barbour citing LR 2:481a); poss. d. 1693 (Hawley (1890) 452 contains drawing of stone for 'M Hawley'). His father's will states that he leaves no real estate as he disposed of it to each of his children when they married. There are no deeds between Samuel Hawley and his son Matthew Hawley in Stratford deed volumes 1-4, which would indicate - given the provisions of the will - that Matthew had died before he achieved the age of majority."
