Matthew's house was located in the present village of Bridgehampton on Lumber Lane. It was moved to its present site sometime in the 1800s from a hollow a little further to the south. In "Bridgehampton Three Hundred Years" (by Paul H. Curtis (1956)) it says that Matthew's house was owned by Peter Babibski in 1956.
