The eldest of seven children of Matthew Gibbs and Mary Bradish was Matthew, b. about 1655. He moved from Sudbury to Framingham where he d. March 9, 1732. He md. 1678 Mary Moore, d/o John Moore and Ann Smith, m. (2) Elizabeth Moore, sister of his first wife.
[Note this is a popular myth that appears to be based on an erroneous marriage record. Every other piece of evidence says he had only one wife, Elizabeth, named as mother of his children, with no Mary, nor heirs of Mary named in will their father.]
