    Mary to Phinehas Newton of Sutton on 2 Sep 1771.
    The first is Mary (Whipple) Winchester, widow of Joshua Winchester of Grafton. She and Ephraim Sherman are named in the probate of her father, James Whipple.
    The third is the daughter of Joshua and Mary Winchester, b. 1751, and too young to marry Nathaniel Goddard.
    The wife of Nathaniel Goddard is Joshua's sister Mary, born in Westborough in 1739, and named in the 1758 (proved 1762) will of her father, Benjamin Winchester of Grafton, where she is given a legacy of £13 and the right to live in the house as long as she is unmarried (i.e., no property distribution or deeds likely to prove the connection).
