"Alvin D. Bassel first married Miss Minnie Squires, a daughter of Daniel Stephen and Elizabeth McLaughlin Squires of Sutton. They were the parents of a daughter Margaret, who became the wife of Harvey Weekley. She and her husband and their two children live at Canton, O. After the death of Mrs. Bassel, her husband remarried Mrs. Mollie V. Post, who parents, Weekley's, lived at Buckhannon. Mr. Bassel and Mrs. Bassel live at the old homestead in Lost Creek" Unquote (That's Edward Jackson's home farm!!!!)
