'Jacob Schantz [son of Jacob and Magdalena Schantz], b. 14 Jan 1748. d. 11 Mar 1823, Chester County, Pennsylvania. He married Mary the widow of John Heneks. He was taxed at New Hanover Township, Montgomery County in 1780. He would not bear arms in the [war] in 1784/85.'
