PAIGE, Mary, w. of James, [died] Jan. 6, 1771.
[Note: sic. This date is reported as 6 Jan 1770 by both Bartlett (Gregory Stone Genealogy) and Paige (History of Hardwick). A marriage record shows the husband remarried in Oct 1770 but since the first child of that marriage isn't born until Nov 1772, it is difficult to tell if the death date was misreported, or the marriage date was misreported. Paige, in particular, published in 1883, predates the published records, so probably relied on the original records, so 1770 is used, since that is also about the time we would expect James and Mary to be having a second child (Mary is reported to have died in childbed along with the infant, though neither the birth, nor death, of the child is reported in VRs).]
