Origin?

Her origin doesn't appear to be known. She may be the Mary Milton, daughter of Richard Milton, baptized in Clayhanger, Devon 20 Sep 1646[3], but the scarcity of records suggest that there may be many other possibilities not transcribed online. Find A Grave gives a different date without providing a source. It also says, without evidence, that her parents were Richard Melton and Margaret Ross. The version of this couple on WeRelate has Margaret dying a good 10 years before Mary was born - again, with no evidence.
