Mary Jane McDevitt, age 82, Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on March 24, 2004 after a short illness. She was born in Rochester, New York as Mary Jane Lewis, and was married to George McDevitt in Rochester in 1947. She served in the Women Marines in World War II as an aviation mechanic. After her marriage, she worked for many years as a travel agent in New Jersey, and for Cunard Lines in New York City. She is survived by her husband George McDevitt, son Michael McDevitt of Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter, Patricia Antonaccio of New Hope, PA, grandson Nicholas Antonaccio of Indianapolis, Indiana and grand daughter, Kimberly McDevitt of Lafayette, Colorado. At the family's request memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society: 3375 20th Street, Suite 100, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Mrs. McDevitt. SERVICES: A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM, Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the Vista Harbor Club House. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford Funeral Home.
